The Busters were a softball team, formed in Pittsburgh PA in 1982.  They were very untalented.

Most of the Busters grew up together in Mt. Lebanon, went to grade school together, went to high school together, some even went to college together.   Quite frankly, by 1982, a lot of the Busters-to-be were sick of each other, which would explain the rotten chemistry of the softball team.

The softball team formed in the Summer of 1982.   The games were usually played on early Sunday Mornings.   The Busters were big drinkers.   And they smoked.  Hangovers were common on these early Sunday Mornings, but the Busters showed up "ready to play ball" anyway.   The Busters won (1) of their first (3) games.   After that initial "success", they proceeded to lose (79) out of their next (80) games, by an average margin of (17) runs per game.

Tragedy struck in 1984 when a horrible, freak bus accident on the Homestead High-Level Bridge forced their bus into the muddy Monongahela River, wiping out the entire team.  None of the Busters were ever recovered.

The Busters never learned how to swim

As the years passed, "Buster Sightings" have taken place everywhere from their beloved Pittsburgh, to Central Virginia to Southern California.  The mystery continues.

Thus, to have legally been considered a Buster, the following criteria must be satisfied:

If you do not satisfy at least 10 of the items above, you can not legally call yourself a Buster.  Sorry, no exceptions.
