Azusa Greens
Azusa CA

1.         97 for FX, 48 Front and 49 Back
2.         98 for Sax
3.        103 for Lon
4.        104 for Ted

75 Degrees and Sunshine in Azusa wasn't good enough to get Ted out of his funk.  Even though he cashed in on the win of a triple carryover skin with greenies and birdies included, he still dropped $250K to FX, raising his ongoing debt to $ 1.75M.

Everyone agreed that this course was the scruffiest grunt course we'd played on in some time.

Shortly thereafter, FX moved back to Virginia; leaving Ted's debt firm at $ 1.75M.  They're working out an installment plan.

Upland Hills Country Club
Upland CA

1.         91 for Sax, 45 Front and 46 Back
2.         99 for FX. 50 Front and 49 Back

It was just a twosome on this 86 degree day in Upland CA.  Ted was unable to make it because of a real estate crisis, Al had a little good-old-fashioned PMS.

Despite having 3 "Snowmen", FX pulled out a pretty good game for his paltry standards.  Sax, always the sandbagger, shot a crisp 91, and didn't lose his temper all day.  Highlights: Sax's chip-in from 40 feet away, FX's 4 foot putt for par on the last hole to break 100.  There was no money wagered, and no skins at stake.  Because Ted & Al no-showed, we played with 2 complete strangers, Mike & Loretta/Joanne  from Upland.

1.         97 for Ted, 48 Front and 49 Back
2.         98 for Sax, 47 Front and 51 Back
3.         104 for Fran, 49 Front and 55 Back
4.         115 for Al, 58 Front and 57 Back

It was Ted’s turn to play exceptional golf. He won $ 250,000.00 from Big Fran, whittling his debt down to $ 1.5M.  The Ted/Fran team finished up 3 skins.  Ted kicked Fran out of the cart, and called him a bad name.  Although the score doesn’t indicate it, Al contributed a couple of skins.

Jurupa Hills Golf Club

Broke out the clubs on Good Friday.  Sax, as usual, played outstanding golf.  I played OK, a 101 if I remember.  Lou had a good front 9, but really butchered the back. Ted lost $ 250,000.00, as usual.  Ted now owes Fran $ 1,750,000 in golf debts.

Lou and Sax were one team, Ted and Fran the other. Lou and Sax scarfed most of the skins, a steep $ .50 per hole. It’s fun to gamble big.
